Janas Closes Another Aerospace Transaction
Janas Consulting, Inc. and JCC Capital Markets, LLC, announced the sale of Dixon Hard Chrome’s operations and real estate (the dba of LMDD Enterprises, Inc.) to Canerector, Inc. Dixon is a specialty coatings company that has served the aerospace and defense industries for more than 60 years. The acquirer, Canerector is a family-owned, multi-divisional industrial company based in Toronto, Ontario whose mandate is to buy and hold businesses.
Bart Webb, Managing Director of Janas, headed the team that identified the buyer and worked through various challenges including
- Introducing the buyer to an experienced aerospace executive who was hired as CEO, shortening the seller’s transition.
- Bringing together resources to document Dixon’s complex manual accounting system in preparation to a conversion at closing to Canerector’s automated system.
- Oversaw capacity study and practical plan for long-term expansion and suggested physical plant maintenance and enhancements that freshened up operations.
- The real estate was not part of the original mandate–but the sellers were delighted to get full price for the real estate as part of the deal.
The Janas team interfaced with the buyer during Due Diligence and successfully completed a timely closing. Transaction support by the law firm and CPA firm that represented LMDD were key to the final closing.
